The new outer rear valance which is a new product from Autocraft Engineering fits perfectly and gets spot welded into place. The outer rear corners are offered up for fittment before everything gets painted black behind where they are going. Lastly everything is welded into place, the right hand side side tray and battery tray are in and the left had side tray is finished, all the new areas of the enigne bay or re-oxide coated for protection before being seam sealed up ready to be painted up…. on to the other areas.

New rubber pipes and replacement petrol tank arrived and fitted.

All done and dusted in plenty of time for their Easter Holiday expadition.

Doors and engine lid painted in primer ready for the top coat.

Off comes the crusty inner front valance which reveals some repairs needed to the end of the chassis rails.

Phil’s lower wheel arches have also rusted away so these will get replaced to make solid once again.

Phil’s pink “back to ‘89” style, 1972 Bay comes in to have some essential valance repairs.
