Helen’s engine almost back together and ready to go in. However we’ve got to take the fuel tank out to replace a non-working sender unit.

Dan and Natalie’s van all bagged up ready ready to be black waxed…..every area gets a coating even under the front belly pan just to make sure.

All the cavities are now loaded with wax, ready for some new grommets and a coat of black wax

As you can see, Dan and Natalie’s bus has been perfectly preserved throughout it’s life and they are going to make sure it stays that way with the full wax protection service.

The two rear mounts of Brian’s gearbox are stating to give out so the engine is out for them to be changed over. Although the front mount looks in fair shape, no one knows how old it is and while the gearbox is being disturbed to change the other mounts it’s more cost effective to change this on now too, once it’s all back together he can take it home for a summer of V-dub fun!!

Next up was to clamp it all in place and weld it the new battery tray and side tray in place with a combination of mig weld and spot welding. Once in, it was all cleaned up ready for the final piece to be fitted once the otherside is done.

Time for the wax treatment on Dan and Natalies early bay. Off come the door cards and the inner platic membrane…..a good dose of clear wax and then on with the new membrane and re-fitting of the door card and furniture….on to the next one!!

A few small metal repairs needed to Polly’s bus to make it ready for its MOT before it’s trip to France.

All done and dusted in plenty of time for their Easter Holiday expadition.

Couple of shot out in the sun, while the white is painted on the door tops and front bumper.
